Manager -FX Payment Processing team deals with processing requests received from front office and business partners, Liaise with e-Channel support teams for providing better payment services. Work flow of the process is majorly categorized as below
- Team process payments, both inbound and outbound, according to established procedure.
- Team is responsible for investigation and resolution of any discrepancies associated with the outgoing payment order for Foreign Exchange and Funding related transactions both in USD and Foreign currencies.
- Respond to queries received from other FX departments in the group email box within established SLA parameters
- Payment order discrepancies will be routed will be resolved by liaising with Front Office team.
- Processing manual payments received in group email boxes for Rate Source and Funding units.
- Investigate Rate of Execution Currency Inquiries and process US Dollar cover funds to the beneficiary bank.
Team is also responsible for monitoring repair queues in GBS Aries for Rate Source, MLIB and Funding units, Swift Alliance (America/Europe) and FX Transact. Process manual payments based on any reject / failed payment messages received from e-channel Systems.
Detailed Role description
- The manager will be primarily responsible for the service delivery as per the SLAs outlined by the Line of Business, identifying and appreciating the inherent risks in the business and managing operations by creating effective risk mitigants and controls, overall development of people working under him/her and fostering rewarding relationship with customers and internal business partners.
The candidate must have:
- 6-9 years of experience in Investment Banking, preferably in FX handling international payments
- Strong understanding of various FX trade types, FX settlement process, retail remittances, CLS, payment related SWIFT messages, currency specific payment requirements etc.
- Experience in managing teams with a span of 20-40 people in the capacity of Assistant Manager/Manager. Should be a Manager of people managers
- Experience in FX payments and cash management services
- Experience in working and liaising with global teams
The candidate, in his new role will be required to:
- Be engaged in day-to-day operations and ensure service delivery meeting SLA/CTQs
- Ensure consistent delivery of key business metrics along with other new responsibilities
- Participate and contribute ideas in global projects as a functional expert and implement agreed changes in day-to-day operations
- Provide timely coaching, feedback and guidance to employees and ensure their knowledge enhancement, skill augmentation and overall developments
- Conduct periodic team connects to keep employees adequately abreast of the latest changes in policy, procedures etc., key organizational priorities and industry updates etc.
- Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports
- Build productive teams that works effectively together to achieve or exceed set operational targets & client Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
- Identify training and development needs for employees
- Maintain high people engagement and ensure high employee satisfaction level
- Maintain a good connect with LOB partners and resolve issues and escalations
- Liaise with LOB effectively to manage the service delivery in line with the SLA and ADHOC situations
- Identify and exploit process improvement opportunities
- Cater to Corporate & other country regulatory audits along with other administrative routines
- Build productive teams that works effectively together to achieve or exceed set operational targets & client Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
- Ensure contingency plans / flexibility in staff levels to manage workload in adverse conditions (e.g. sickness, holidays etc)
