Job Title : Manager Finance - Financial Planning & Strategy

Location Bangalore

Reports to : CFO

JOB SUMMARY :

- Support the mapped business/ functioning the formulation of long-term business strategy and plan, budget, and target setting by providing relevant data analysis & information

- Detailed profitability of vertical/ product and analyze trends/ variance from budgets

- Detailed productivity, cost-benefit analysis, cost optimization initiatives

- Competitive landscape for the mapped business, identify industry trends and how we can improve peer mapping

- Drive improvements to the existing business processes, develop and review new business processes as per the strategic goals.

- Ensure detailed review of expenses and control expenses by reviewing variance analysis periodically

- Various regulatory, periodic reports for board and management

3. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Business :

- Prepare a draft business plan with annual targets by the consolidation of product-wise and region-wise targets and provide it to the Head of FP&S for discussion with leadership

- Review the progress against targets on a periodic basis and prepare reports on the target vs achievements.

- Prepare capital and revenue budgets in coordination with the respective departments and present them to the Head of FP&S.

- Prepare and submit, branch &respective region review reports and other performance reports for evaluation and review to National Leadership Team coordinating with Corporate Financial Analysts.

- Continuously scan the market environment on the performance of peer banks on focus regions and various customer segments; provide strategic information to the MD & CEO and National Leadership Team.

- Prepare the annual branch expansion plan based on the requirement for Region to present to the National leadership team for approval.

- Collect inputs from the Managing Director and the National Leadership Team on the branch expansion plan.

- Review the number of branches to be opened as per the business plan and coordinate with regional teams for the opening of branches against the targets set.

- Prepare necessary documents for the branch expansion plan and apply to the regulatory authorities for new branches.

- Work closely with IT team and BI implementation team for implementation/customizations required in the IT platforms which are required based on Regional requirements

- Provide data for other departments to help them with aligning their departments to the overall regional strategy

- Work on rewards and incentives for distribution employees based on their business performance

- Analyze the business ratios and make recommendations to the regional teams, branches to help them with improving these ratios

- Work on business profitability

- Prepare various periodic reports for onward submission to management, board, regulators

- Work on special projects as assigned by Head of strategy & planning

Customer :

- Work alongside the Corporate Financial Analyst to track competition and analyze market intelligence.

- Work with business and support function teams

Internal Process :

- Build a top-level, forecasting model to analyze current business

- Monitor and control all controllable expenses in the region

- Provide necessary financial analysis reports to the regional leadership team and various regional heads within the specified timelines.

- Drive the implementation of the branch expansion process changes and new procedures as per planned timelines.

- Ensure adherence to all new business processes and process changes are in line with the guidelines prescribed by the RBI and other regulatory bodies.

- Support Corporate Analyst by providing data from regions, which are required to check the adherence of internal and external regulations

- Monitoring & control of operating expenses

Learning & Performance :

- Train and supervise Financial analysts

- Ensure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self.

- Attend Seminars and forums for Financial Analysts from the industry and learn the best practices from other SFB institutions

- Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review, and annual appraisal process happen within specified timelines for self
