Financial Accounting Manager/Group Reporting Manager
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Group Finance team in Pune, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to achieve departmental objectives and organizational goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts, including consolidation for the group, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including coordination with other departments, external auditors, and stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls, processes, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments and senior management to provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth, particularly within the telecoms sector.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance and advising on implications for the organization.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, problem-solving, and customer service attitude within the Group Finance team, promoting professional development and career growth opportunities.
Individual Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Qualified Accountant designation (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) required.
- Strong years of post-qualification experience in finance/accounting roles,
- Significant experience in a leadership position, preferably trained at a Big4 accounting firm.
- Strong telecoms industry experience preferred, with a solid understanding of financial dynamics and operations within the sector.
- Expertise in Oracle Fusion financial management system and FCCS or Hyperion consolidation tools, with hands-on experience in their use and maintenance.
- Proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives, statutory accounts preparation, and consolidation for group reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
