Finance Manager for Bangalore location

Overview:

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial accounting, controlling, reporting, audits, and banking operations for a listed entity. This individual collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Controller in managing board meetings, AGM preparations, financial analysis, quarterly results, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts.

- Conduct detailed variance analysis and collaborate with the Controller/CFO.

- Assist in preparing fiscal budgets for Board approval.

- Support FP&A & Operations teams in resolving financial queries.

Audit Management:

- Prepare financial statements and schedules for statutory audits.

- Coordinate timely closure of audits and compliance reporting.

- Collaborate with auditors for audit committee presentations.

Board Meetings & AGM:

- Prepare board meeting requirements and quarterly business updates.

- Ensure compliance with Annual Report and AGM requirements.

- Handle board queries efficiently.

Treasury & Cash Management:

- Oversee cash flow planning and banking relationships.

- Monitor liquidity and liaise with the Global Treasury team.

Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure adherence to company law, RBI regulations, and taxation laws.

- Manage statutory return filings and balance sheet hygiene.

- Ensure compliance with internal financial control frameworks.

System & Process Improvement:

- Review and enhance financial systems, policies, and procedures.

- Automate reports for efficiency and accuracy.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.

- Act as the focal point for implementing new regional/global projects.

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial regulations.

- Experience in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.

- Proficient in financial reporting and strong analytical skills.

- Ability to interact with senior management and multiple stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities.

- Self-motivated team player with good planning and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills:

- Prior experience in MNCs and listed companies.

- Familiarity with SAP.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
