Job Description :
- The Ops Sup Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team.
- The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes. Also, to oversee the Transaction Postings, General Ledger Reconciliation, Settlement of funds in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- The person should have an in-depth understanding of business standards, policies, monitor and identify emerging risks. Requires good analytical skills in order to prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic inputs from varied sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly connect with senior stakeholders to understand the expectations and guide the team to delivery as needed. Involved in coaching and training of team members on products and processes related to consumer banking operations
Responsibilities :
- To control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation. Timely submission of proofs and reporting to stakeholders
- Lead the Operations Support department through delegation of tasks and responsibilities for multiple teams
- Comprehensive understanding of multiple areas, products and processes within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function
- Manage complex and highly variable issues associated with pre and post settlement processes and transaction capture activities with significant potential impact across multiple areas
- Conduct performance evaluations, compensations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members as well as determining staffing needs
- Monitor team's end results, ensuring quality and efficiency and contributes to resource planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
- Contribute to the development of new techniques, improvement of processes and work-flows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise
- Perform detailed analysis on issues and recommend solutions, as appropriate
- Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of information and in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures in complicated and unique situations. Complete ownership of handling challenges and to come up with solutions
- Collaborate with teams across the business and determine impact on the overall control environment
- Supervise, motivate, and develop the team, ensuring the quality of deliverables meets or exceeds expectations
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years of experience in managing a team
- CA, CMA or any equivalent certification with strong excel skills
- Retail Banking, Credit Card Experience. Prefer someone with ops analytics experience
- Team player, detailed oriented, leadership skills, critical thinker
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
