Manager Finance and Accounts (US GAAP and IFRS) Manufacturing

You are responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting for a manufacturing company, ensuring accurate financial statements are produced in accordance with both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), while managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions, with a strong focus on compliance and internal controls within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) under both US GAAP and IFRS standards for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, provide insights, and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings to relevant authorities.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage the general ledger function, ensuring proper classification and posting of transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor reconciliation and customer collections.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit process and address any audit findings.
- Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS, and stay updated on any changes.
- Monitor compliance with SOX regulations, if applicable.
Manufacturing Specific Responsibilities:
- Understand and account for complex manufacturing processes, including inventory management, cost accounting, and production variances.
- Analyze manufacturing costs to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and inventory valuation.
Qualification And Experience:
- CA or CPA or CWA with Minimum 5+ Years of Experience with Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail coupled with aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
