The Role :

Reports to : Finance Director

Responsible for : Direct line management of finance team based in Gurgaon

Responsibilities Includes :

- Maintain relevant Corporate Governance Standards in India, including compliance with Global Finance Manual.

- Manage and oversee the effective implementation of basic accounting systems such as account payables, reconciliation, preparation of vouchers, book keeping and entries into the respective ledgers etc. in line with the Accounting Standards and organizational guidelines.

- Ensure the establishment of robust financial accounting systems so as to provide timely, accurate and consistent inputs including P&L, Balance Sheet and MIS.

- Supervise Finance & Accounts function in all offices in India, including financial accounting, management accounting, cash flow, working capital & internal controls.

- Timely compilation of monthly management accounts.

- Ensure accurate, complete and timely submission of other management reports and ad hoc deliverables in the region.

- Accurate calculation and timely submission and settlement of all tax returns.

- Ensure corporate, secretarial and statutory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions in the country.

- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of Finance Officers in the company.

- Local Ownership of GMS (Global Management System) to ensure that it's use is embedded within, and beneficial to Indian Business Unit.

- Ensuring management books and statutory books reconcile.

- Effective interfacing with auditors and other external advisors.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accountancy and - Professional Qualification as ICAI Charted Accountant; qualification as ICSI Company Secretary would be an added advantage;

- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional working experience (including having knowledge on tax compliance), and working in a MNC and in an ERP environment would be an added advantage;

- Strong verbal and written communication skills;

- Hands-on, proactive and positive work attitude with strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills;

- Organised, meticulous, committed, independent but also an excellent team player;

- Ability to lead a high performing team.
