Designation : Manager - Finance and Accounts
Job Location : based out of the Corporate office at Mumbai.
This role would be responsible for handling entire gamut of Finance and Accounts for the company which will include Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Banking, Treasury, Taxation(direct and indirect), costing, consolidation of accounts and overseeing plant accounting.
Accounts and MIS :
- Handling Corporate Accounts, which inter alia, envisages
- Preparation of Monthly P&L & Balance Sheet & Ratios by 5th of every month, with accurate inventory valuation, prompt capitalization, accurate provisioning of all expenses & appropriate Balance Sheet Grouping
- Finalization of Annual Accounts ; P&L A/c and Balance Sheet as per Indian GAAP (& IFRS, as & when applicable and getting the same audited by end April
Preparation of Monthly MIS reports, consisting of :
- Flash MIS report by 2nd of every month
- Detailed MIS report by 5th of every month with detailed analysis of variance of each item of P&L & Balance sheet and segmental P&L & balance sheet
Preparation of Annual Budget & co-driving profitability by monitoring key performance indicators & highlighting deviations
Implementation of Controls in Finance & Accounts function and monitoring continuously
Leveraging SAP Platform by improving accounting & MIS processes
Providing prompt & instant support to Marketing on pricing from time to time
Taxation :
- Ensuring compliances with Direct viz.,
- timely payment of Advance Tax, self assessment tax & TDS,
- filing of monthly/quarterly/annual Returns for TDS
- Tax calculations for all employees, TDS calculation and timely submission of TDS returns
- Completion of tax audit including filing of report with DSIR for 35 (2)(AB)
- Computation of income and filing of annual return for Income Tax & Wealth tax
- Liaisoning with tax consultants for completion of assessments, appeals & refunds
Handling all indirect tax matters including :-
- Filing of VAT returns, VAT audit & refund claims
- Issuance & collection of C Forms & other statutory forms
- Filing of Service tax returns & complying with all relevant provisions
- Filing of refund claims with Excise /Maritime Commissioners and follow up for refund
- Liasioning with statutory authorities & consultants in Excise, VAT & Service tax
Banking and Treasury :
- Efficient management of Working Capital & tight control on finance cost
- Assessment of long/ short term funds requirements & arranging for the same
- Preparation of quarterly funds flow forecasts & keeping Track of daily Fund Flow Requirements
- Keeping track of Forex movements, companys exposures & advising management on hedging
- Ensuring timely submission of CMA, QIS statements and financial projections to banks from time to time
- Filing of necessary returns to RBI on ECB
- Maintaining relationship with all banks
Insurance :
- Assessing insurance requirements of the operations & timely renewal of the same
- Submitting periodic returns to the insurer
- Coordinating with operations & insurance company in respect of claims
Secretarial :
- Filing of all returns under Companies Act
- Maintenance of all statutory registers including Minutes of Board Meeting, AGM/EGM etc under Companies Act with help of consultant
- This role would be handling a team of around 15 people.
Key Professional Skills & Experiences :
Qualified first attempt Chartered Accountant
- 4-8+ yrs exp in handling accounts, taxation and other finance functions with team handling responsibility
- Big Four exp (Articleship)
- Strong Managerial & Team Leadership skills
- Hands-on capabilities & experience in setting up processes and systems
- Experience in SAP is a must
