A multinational company who specialises in the manufacturer of power electronic equipment for medium voltage applications within the power / industrial sectors. Currently looking for a resourceful Operations Manager to support in the start up of its assembly unit in / around Delhi. The factory will deliver STATCOM equipment to POWERGRID, other utility and industrial customers.

Job Title / Designation : Operations Manager

Job Description :

The Operations Manager role is an important role within RXPE Group to enable the successful setup and transfer of the manufacturing of equipment out of the Indian operations. You will head up the factory & manufacturing activity, and support wider engineering and project teams both within the company's offices and the on-site activities.

Key Functions & Roles of the Candidate :

Your typical responsibilities as Operations Manager will include :

- Reporting to the Country Manager & Technical Director

- Take complete responsibility for the setting up and managing of the India assembly unit

- Setting up the appropriate teams and infrastructure support including vendor management, and statutory / regulatory interface supported by external consultants

- Take responsibility for the unpacking, storage, testing of incoming power electronic modules, spares and after sales service issues

- Inputting to project schedules, forecasts and resource requirements and regular project status reports

- Attending design review meetings, inspection of site works, attendance and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

- Supporting effective communications between engineering, technical, construction, and project controls groups and the project management teams

In addition to the above specific Operations Manager responsibilities, you will also support the organization with :

- Safety case preparation and documentation

- Ensuring all staff and contractors follow safe practices

- Identifying and rectifying non-compliances and flagging up to management as required.

The role is to be based in the Noida region with secondment and short-term travel to site and client offices for team and project meetings and site work.

You are also required to support the wider engineering team and business with other activities as necessary.

Specific Skill Set:

- Familiar with Electronic & Electrical equipment assembly, manufacturing, & testing

- Previous experience of setting up and managing factory teams of 15-20 staff is preferred

Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: 15 years + Experience in Electronic / Electrical Factory Operations, Supplier and Service Provider information in NCR will be essential

Annual CTC : To 24 lacs, dependant upon experience

Minimum Education Requirements : Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (Degree/Diploma)
