Key Responsibilities :

- Develop the strategic direction and goals of the facilities department to ensure alignment with site business unit objectives. Responsible for monitoring the adequacy of action plans to meet identified objectives, monitoring performance towards achieving goals.

- Oversee staffing resources and make recommendations to ensure that the business units (Commercial, IAS, R and D, IS, GBS) and building operations are fully supported. Critical attention is required for all regulated/ validated systems and services (R and D).

- Implement measures to improve equipment performance, facility operating costs, and the quality of facility operations

- Manage, oversee, and coordinate all day to day operations and activities of running the facility.

- Manage site EH and S Program and site Security Program

- Manage space planning and on-going operation of Service Zone space planning and Work Order requests software system. Oversee Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC)

- Responsible for directing all facility maintenance, critical systems, and facility support.

- Directs facility equipment preventative maintenance programs. Develop measures and reduce / eliminate facility equipment system downtime. This program will include R and D benchtop equipment as well as IAS training equipment maintenance programs.

- Oversee monitor all contracted 3rd party vendors, consultants and service providers

- Perform design review and construction administration of small office/ lab renovations as required

- Support negotiations and provide management of facility maintenance contracts

- Performs related duties of a similar nature and complexity as required.

- Acts as technical guidance for identifying and resolving facilities related operational issues

- Acts as an effective team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices

- Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues

- Oversee any repairs to equipment or facility and ensure those repairs are completed on-time and on budget.

- Develop and manage departmental OPEX budgets and capital expenditures in support of business unit strategy. Prepares the annual facility budget and monitors expenditures and revenues spending and financing.

- Manage and oversee RFP process for all services- facility / equipment service, maintenance, consulting etc. Develop technical scopes, review bids, coordinate with procurement strategic buyer (GBS)

- Approve, oversee, monitor, control, and insure contract compliance of all CAPEX projects and other OPEX improvements on campus. Planning/designing, Schedule, budget and contract fulfillment are key measure to actively participate in-

- Review/ approve/ authorize payment for services and work performed.

- Work with EH and S personnel to ensure a safe, compliant work environment.

- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:

- Support the development of new/updated validation Plans, Quality Plans, Hazard Analysis-, for the facility (R and D, IAS)

- Support/Manage CAPA and NCE disposition and closure as necessary.

- Support/Write controlled documentation as it pertains to area of responsibility.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. country and regulatory requirements).
