Our client is a US MNC and World Leader in the design, manufacture, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits.
The company also builds equipment for back-end wafer-level packaging (WLP), and for related manufacturing markets such as for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).
Bangalore is their Global Shared R&D Center
Job responsibilties are:
- Lead and manage a group of 10-15 Electrical and Mechanical Engineers / Technical Lead Engineers at Lam India performing Product Development activities for multiple products
- Develop & own roadmap of organizational technical capability that can support long term product group vision.
- Owns Electrical Engineering technical disciplines with primary focus on design, development, modification, evaluation of electrical hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
- Determines design approaches and parameters. Leads design review discussions, analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Helps and guides team members in selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- Be able to highlight technical risks and drive mitigation plans.
- Maintain and develop process checkpoints to ensure adherence to design standards and schedules. Work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary.
- Interacts with India and US-based Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Managers of different Product Groups regarding work-flow and in delivering results.
- Interaction with Global suppliers for parts manufacturing / Address design related issues / OEM selections.
- Assigns & manages electrical engineering work responsibilities to individual engineers in response to requests from Product Groups in the US.
- Work with peers across the globe to select, test, implement and roll-out ECAD software and important design processes and BKM's.
Key Expertise:
- Functional and technical expertise in Control panels / IO Controller design and applications (PLC) for industrial automation domain, low-voltage Electronic Circuit design.
- Must have good understanding of engineering concepts and CAD tools experience with the use of PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN or equivalent CAD package
