Job Summary :
The E-commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the company's online sales platform. This role focuses on driving growth, increasing online sales, enhancing the user experience, and improving the overall performance of the e-commerce platform. The E-commerce Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, IT, and logistics to develop and execute effective strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and increase overall profitability.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
- Create and manage annual sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs for the e-commerce platform.
2. Website Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the e-commerce website, ensuring smooth functionality, optimized performance, and a seamless user experience.
- Coordinate with the IT and web development teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement new features or improvements.
- Monitor website traffic, sales performance, and customer behavior using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
3. Product & Catalog Management:
- Work with category managers and vendors to ensure accurate, complete, and appealing product listings.
- Optimize product content (titles, descriptions, images) for SEO and improved conversion rates.
- Monitor stock levels, product availability, and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure timely restocking.
4. Marketing & Promotions:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing, to drive traffic and increase sales.
- Plan and manage promotional events, seasonal sales, and special offers to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, including banners, landing pages, and email templates.
5. Customer Experience & Support:
- Analyze customer feedback, reviews, and support inquiries to identify pain points and improve the overall shopping experience.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Work closely with the customer service team to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain high service standards.
6. Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, conversion rates, average order value, bounce rate, and customer acquisition costs.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting performance insights, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, and overall e-commerce strategy.
7. Team Management & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of e-commerce specialists, content creators, and support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, IT, marketing, finance) to align on business goals and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce.
Key Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 4-5 years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
