In the last 36 months, 120+ grants have been made in our areas of intervention (further broken down into specific themes) - Vulnerable Groups, Nutrition and Governance.

Overview - 

Responsible for creating and implementing strategies for donor acquisition and retention. He/She will be required to reach out to Ultra HNI, Philanthropies and Corporates CSR to cultivate & solicit support. The job will entail a mix of reaching out to donors where doors are opened by the organisation, hence cultivating the relationship and also creating a donor base by initiatives undertaken individually. The person will be required to work with donors to explore various ways in which donors may contribute - cash, kind, employee engagement, employee volunteering, logistic support etc. He/She should be a self-starter and driven to contribute in making a change in the society.

Responsibilities - 

1. Initiate contacts with major donors and philanthropies; qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding these individuals by meeting in person with or reaching out to current and prospective donors.

2. Conduct research and analysis for donor prospects

3. Strategize & Identify opportunities to leverage donor relations to achieve programmatic objectives

4. Strategize, create pitch packs & explore opportunities with various types of donors for cofunding or aligned funding in programs being seeded

5. Respond to queries from donors, support offices and internal management within the required time schedules.

6. Ensure that various donor regulations are complied with in all grant transactions and processes; keep the Finance Manager & CEO informed on all major compliance issues/ challenges while taking the necessary corrective steps.

7. Supports donor development by coordinating processes and activities related to events, volunteers and fund administration.

8. Lead or support the development of communication tools for fundraising events (i.e., talking points, scripts, presentations, videos,testimonies, etc.) and individual / corporate CSR donor solicitation and stewardship (i.e., agendas, talking points, presentations, proposals, testimonies,etc.)

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree/PG required

2. Two to five years of fundraising experience and atleast 5 years of overall experience

3. Self-starter and ability to work in teams

4. Excellent inter-personal skills

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

6. Excellent project management skills

7. Knowledge of individual giving strategies, tools, and resources.

8. Ability to meet, exceed goals and handle the pressures of fund raising

9. Strong computing skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

10. Adhere to the highest ethical standards
