Job Purpose :
The Destination Tourism Development (DTD) Manager, operating within the organisation.
Development & MICE division, leads the initiation and implementation of significant initiatives such as exhibitions and roadshows to fulfil .Destination Development's strategic goals. The role is entrusted with the fiscal oversight, coordination, and facilitation of financial aspects related to these events and spearhead townhall gatherings, ensuring robust stakeholder participation through collaboration with various internal sectors and by compelling presentation. As the driving force behind the Centralized Data Project, the role holder champions standardization and data accessibility for the DTD unit.
Budget :
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for Destination Tourism Development (DTD) department in close collaboration with the VP - DTD and MICE to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Coordinate with the Commercial team to work on the budget proposal and consolidation of numbers shared.
- Comply with the budget approved to ensure appropriate utilization of the organization's financial resources. Take ownership of Exhibitions budget and closely monitor expenditures to ensure strict adherence to the submitted and approved budget.
Functional Responsibilities :
- Oversee and execute Exhibitions and Roadshows to promote organisation and meet strategic goals of promoting destination tourism.
- Prepare a list of upcoming Roadshows and Exhibitions and share it with the Commercial team to assist in meeting the team objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams and provide timely responses for seamless project execution.
- Work closely with Public Relations (PR) and Marketing team to promote exhibitions and roadshows, creating marketing collaterals to ensure that promotional efforts are aligned with the strategic goals.
- Create an automated invitation for the stakeholders to participate in the roadshows and exhibition leading to an elevated participant experience.
- Assist in the transactional and financial aspects of execution by creating Purchase Orders and following up for Invoices with multiple functions across the organization.
- Support the DTD team throughout the execution of projects to ensure the departmental objectives are met.
- Work closely with VP - DTD and MICE to assist in transactional activities and tasks towards successful completion of all exhibitions and roadshows.
