Manager - Derivatives Operation - Capital Markets

Job Summary:

- The Operations Capital Markets Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of services related to Capital Markets Operations.

- This position focuses on providing support across various functions, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitating seamless operations for the Global Markets Team and other business lines.

Principal Responsibilities:

- The primary responsibilities of the Operations Capital Markets Officer include ensuring adequate operational services, supporting the Global Markets Team, and guaranteeing compliance with all applicable regulations.

- The officer will work closely with various stakeholders to streamline processes and mitigate risks in the capital markets landscape.

Main Activities:

- Key activities include authorizing early delivery charges into client accounts and monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements such as Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) and Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR).

- The officer will be responsible for booking new deals and terminating outdated ones while managing related charges, such as brokerage and TDS payments.

- Daily verification of client deals captured in the front office system is essential, particularly for non-cash transactions. This role also requires validating MIBOR and MIFOR deals and monitoring early pickups of merchant contracts.

- Additionally, the officer will be tasked with managing option expiries, providing necessary information to the Front Office, and executing options within Murex.

- The role involves handling IRS confirmations with counterparties, dispatching London confirmations for option deals, and ensuring accurate daily reconciliation reports from HKG. Verification of documents from counterparties and brokers is also critical to ensure that confirmations are matched effectively.

- Another significant responsibility includes following up on confirmations for bonds and money market deals and coordinating with clients and banks regarding FX contracts.

- Daily cash flow monitoring related to FX deal maturities, liquidity management in collaboration with the Front Office, and addressing outstanding items in reconciliation reports are crucial to maintaining operational efficiency.

- The officer will also oversee the reconciliation of unmatched or mismatched confirmations in SWIFT and Back Office systems and will be responsible for liaising with clients, internal departments, and audit teams.

- Preparing and dispatching option confirmations to clients, sending payment messages through RTGS and SWIFT, and managing Nostro accounts are essential functions of this role.

Other Activities:

- In addition to the main responsibilities, the Operations Capital Markets Officer will assist in updating and streamlining processes, documentation, and systems.

- The officer should promote a collaborative team environment and be ready to take on any additional tasks assigned by the Department Head as needed.
