Role : Manager - Debt Syndication
Purpose of the Job :
- Origination, execution, and completion of Debt Capital Market Transactions including syndicated debt, structured finance, acquisition/bridge finance, and project finance.
- Handle the entire gamut of pre- and post-sanction activities, including project evaluation or appraisal, preparation of term sheets, and negotiation thereof with clients, assistance in security creation until the loan disbursement stage.
- Excellent team and relationship management skills with diverse lenders.
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability will be key must be comfortable with ambiguity and the demands that naturally arise from rapid growth.

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Syndication of project debt obligations for new and expansion projects.
- Syndication of long-term and short-term debt for corporate customers, and designing, financing, and implementing structured products.
- Securitization and debt refinancing.
- Achieving targeted fee-based income and maintaining and enhancing business quality.
- Origination, appraisal, and placement are key dimensions of this profile.
- Ability to handle/supervise syndication, project finance advisory, refinancing, restructuring, financial appraisal, project appraisal, and due diligence mandates independently from proposal formulation to credit approval and documentation.
- Responsible for business development, origination, and client relationship management.
- Ability to ideate, innovate, and strategize to source business. Capable of guiding the team for origination and winning pitches and mandates across various industries.
- Ensuring the successful completion of assignments within timelines.
- Effective coordination \ with clients, banks, financial institutions (FIs), and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial models.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements, including the ability to analyze balance sheets and provide solutions to clients.
- Thorough analysis of financial statements for risk assessment from a lending perspective, evaluation of business models, and other aspects for credit facilities.
- Preparation of Credit Monitoring Arrangement (CMA) data/projections and project reports/Information Memorandums (IMs).
- Strong relationships with banks, FIs, and NBFCs at various levels, and experience in liaising with these entities.
- In-depth understanding of bank functioning, bank products, bank policies, especially related to lending, credit facilities, restructuring, and resolution of stressed assets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines applicable to banks for loans, credit, external commercial borrowings (ECBs), provisioning, and resolution of stressed assets.
- Preparation of detailed proposals to banks/financial institutions as per prescribed formats.
- Managing the entire gamut of pre and post-sanction activities, including project evaluation/appraisal, preparation of term sheets/legal documents, negotiation with clients, and assistance in security creation until the loan disbursement stage.
- Keeping oneself and the team informed about relevant regulatory, legal, and compliance guidelines.
Educational Qualifications :
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is preferable.
- MBA with an engineering background can also apply.
Experience :
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Skills :
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, comfortable with financial data.
- Proven team player with the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
- Results-driven and able to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas simply and summarize them effectively.
- Superior computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Desk Research, etc.).
- Proficiency in English.
