Manager - Data Science - Machine Learning Techniques/Python

Looking for professionals having minimum 4 years of experience in Machine learning techniques and in predictive modeling with good experience in Python.

We are the AI CoE (Centre of Excellence) that enables the organization solve complex problems for clients by researching and building cutting edge, scalable AI systems.

The Role

- The team is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to lead a team of data scientists within the CoE. The candidate will have ownership of end to end system development from Problem Definition to Solution Deployment. He or she will also train and mentor the data scientists in the team.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will

1. Have the ability to handle structured /unstructured data like Text, Image and have prior experience in loading, validating and cleaning various types of data.

2. Have very good understanding of data structures and algorithms. Have excellent coding skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C++ or R

3. Have thorough understanding of one or more of the following: Machine Learning algorithms, Natural Language Processing techniques, and Information Retrieval techniques

4. Have the ability to apply these algorithms in a professional setting.

Be accountable for measuring and optimizing the quality of algorithms.

5. Have mentored and guided junior data scientists in previous roles. Have ability to identify opportunities where data science techniques can be applied to solve business problems.

Preferred Skills

- Prior People Management Experience for at least a year.

- Excellent Communication Skills.

Education and Experience

- BE/B. Tech/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a team building world class applications in the areas of Predictive Analytics and Data Science.
