Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead team of Data Scientists serve both as technical individual contributors and people managers.
- Participate actively in all aspects of designing, researching, building, and delivering data-focused products using statistical methods.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing problem sets, proposing ML models, and reviewing experiments - Ensure data quality throughout all stages of model development life cycle, such as data ingestion, ground truth, normalization/imputation etc
- Partner with engineering/devops to develop efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure.
- Initiate and drive large scale cross functional projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Ability to maintain balance by focusing on driving business value along with the needed scientific rigor
Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience working in a data science capacity, with 2+ years of experience in people management - Technical leadership and management experience (you enjoy doing both).
- You can jump into the code when needed, but are also interested in developing people and capacity for your team , Excellent verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership across business and technical teams to drive impact and shape strategy
- Expertise in applied statistics and machine learning with strong coding skills for data analysis and ML. Must have experience in taking ML models into production
- Experience applying machine-learning techniques for building data products for solving business problems like predicting churn, LTV, cross-selling, and uplift modeling.
- Proficient with SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., R, Python)
