Manager - Data Science - Insurance

Key Accountabilities

- Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework.

- Present recommendations to entities and influencing future plans based on insights

- Independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with Group entities

- Become a trusted partner for Group entities - engage for capability showcase including visiting entities for opportunity assessment, discussions and piloting solutions

- Develop and implement best practices and standards across the Analytics Team

- Support Business Development initiatives for CoE

Specific knowledge required: -

- Bachelors/Masters in Computers / Statistics / Econometrics / Applied Math / Operations Research

- Proven experience in handling complex data analytics projects and be a strong technical leader in data analysis/data mining.

- 5-8 years of Data Analytics experience in building end to end enterprise data/analytics solutions.

- Data stewardship to continually improve the quality of data and information including accuracy, integrity, relevance to the business.

- Excellent practical experience in SAS/R/Python

- Analytical Skills: Risk Modeling, Marketing Modeling, Up-sell, Cross-Sell modeling, Portfolio Analytics,, Risk & Marketing Strategic Analysis

- Experience in building predictive solutions using Advanced Analytics, Visualization and Machine Learning.

Position Summary:

The resource would be a key member of Data Science team and would work in close collaboration with teams in entities

Candidate is expected to work on multiple analytics projects for P&C insurance related to Pricing/Claim/ Marketing/ HR Analysis and other projects for the team.

The role may involve doing leading project teams. May be required to work as individual contributor as per project requirements

Play a critical role in Data Science platform servicing various Group entities

Fortify existing BS Analytics practice supporting globally.

Specific position related exp:

- Design, Model and Implement data architecture and analytics solutions.

- Be a hands on technical leader. Spending majority time on high-level design, analysis, data architecture and data modeling.

- Drive standards, Define and implement/improve data governance strategies and enforce best practices to scale data pipelines across platform.

- Recruit, motivate and empower data analysts in information retrieval, data model and development of data strategies.

- Self-motivated, Inquisitive and curious, Goal-oriented, detail-oriented, ambitious, and strong ability to follow-through on commitments

- Possess strong business acumen and the ability to explain problems and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
