Job Description:   Position: Manager - Data Mining.  Years of Experience: 8+ years.  Reporting to: Head of Data Mining.  Location: Pune.  Qualification: Masters in any of the quantitative subjects.  Roles and Responsibilities :  - Ensure achievement of performance / quality standards for all Data Mining model development projects as well as executional processes of productive models as defined by CRM, Corporate Marketing.  - As a distinguished data mining expert in B2C / B2B Marketing Analytics provide day-to-day functional guidance on the development, improvement and execution of state-of-the-art data mining approaches and models by the Pune Data Mining team.  - Co-ordinate, organize and manage on daily basis the current projects on new model developments and the executional processes.  - Bring-in and share your deep routed Data Mining expertise and experiences in the exchange with the Head of Data Mining for the proposal of new model development and improvements.   - Propose new measurements and process flows to improve the efficient, effective and reproducible development / executional processes of Data Mining models serving country needs.  - Manage the budget and forecast for the Data Mining team.  - Manage the people management processes (e.g. performance, development) for the Data Mining team in close alignment with CRM, Corporate Marketing.  - Manage staffing and development for the Data Mining team in collaboration with Human Resources Director SSC and under the functional guidance of CRM, Corporate Marketing.  Skills required :  - Outstanding knowledge in the field of Data Mining regarding state-of-the-art modeling approaches, tools and programming languages.   - In particular, successful track record and state-of-the-art experience in modeling approaches for personalization of customer touch-points and communications in Food Retail / Wholesale (customer segmentations, customer profiling, recommender engines) to enable Targeted Marketing.  - Proven experience and professional background of at least 8 years in working as part of a dedicated Retail / Wholesale Data Science unit.  - Proven experience in managing staff in an international business environment (ideally wholesale or retail industry) with a team size of at least 10 - 20 people.  - Ability to create an open team culture to drive the knowledge exchange and learning of all team members.  - Proven knowledge and fluent in SQL (ideally Teradata data warehouse), Data Mining modeling techniques and tools like SAS, SPSS as well as R.
