We have an opening with one of our client which is the largest and top-ranked provider of high end research and analytics services to the world's leading commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, corporations, consulting firms, private equity firms and asset management firms.

Job title : Manager - Data management

Location: Pune/Mumbai

Experience : 7 - 9 years

Job Duties:

- Implement ETL processes that maximize re-usable components/services, collect/share metadata, incorporate audit, reconciliation and exception handling

- Help establish master data management program

- Build data architecture and establish linkages between unstructured and structured data sources to create analytical data marts

- Administer data governance policies and procedures to ensure standardized data naming, establish consistent data definitions across the business segments and lines of site and monitor overall data quality for assigned data entities

- Play a lead role in preventing data quality issues by performing data quality checks in source systems, identifying frequent user errors and working with business segments to strengthen user competence

- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the data dictionary which will be leveraged company-wide

- Manage the identified data clean-up activities as a result of the data quality monitoring; clean-up must have a scheduled timeline for completeness and be cost-effective and timely

- Conduct System Testing - execute job flows, investigate system defects, resolve defects and document results

- Assist in the development, documentation and application of best practices and procedures that govern DW implementations and operations

- Ensure that existing and new software applications adhere to defined data management practices, policies and procedures

- Collaboratively define key business problem to be solved, formulate approaches and gather data to solve the problem

- Conduct analysis, draw insights and present findings to the client

Other responsibilities involve:

- Working closely with other work-stream BAs as well as the Architecture team to share knowledge and standardize the process

- Identifying and escalating design issues and risks

Qualification:

Engineers: B-Tech/ M-Tech/ BCA/ MCA

Skills Required:

- Experience programming ETL programs using standard languages or tools (Informatica, IDQ, Collibra, Talend, DataStage, Oracle, SQL etc.)

- In depth understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications and features such as master data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management, etc.

- Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices

- Must be able to represent the data governance organization as a key subject-matter expert

- Understanding of data warehouse best practices

- Experience in handling, massaging and analysing large dataset or big data (including unstructured or semi-structured data, non-relational data) with appropriate Hadoop ecosystem, NoSQL, MapReduce, Python, R etc.is a strong plus

- Proficiency in VBA and automation tools will be highly preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, analytical acumen, creativity, and a proven work ethics

- Strong client management skills

- Capable of handling multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality or impacting deadlines
