Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals. This responsibility involves driving credit risk policies in any of the following areas – authorizations, underwriting, existing customer management, collections and fraud.
- The portfolios will range across Partner Card Portfolios (Sears, Retail Private Label & Oil, Macy’s, THD and others). This position will require working closely with their US counterparts in Retail Serviceto define, analyze, implement, and monitor credit risk strategies.
- To be successful in this role, the applicant needs to have a combination of good analytical and business skills. Good analytical skills include: ability to clearly formulate analytical hypothesis, perform ad-hoc analysis to support it, communicate results clearly, and understand cause & effect relationships.
- Good business skills include: execution of business initiatives from analysis through implementation; management of multiple priorities; effective communication; maturity & stability. And most of all, the candidate must demonstrate a passion and a desire to be results oriented.
Candidate Specification:
Technical
SAS: ability to manage very large datasets and manipulate data
Excel: expert in pivots & macros
Power point: ability to create presentations
Knowledge and Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or Ph. D. preferred) in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics or a related field with experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry.
Years of Exp: 5 + Yrs Experience in Financial Services/Analytics Industry.
