Key Responsibilities:

Policy and Process Management:

- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and processes for personal loans within the consumer retail portfolio.

- Ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.

- Regularly review and update credit policies and program risk acceptance criteria in response to changes in regulations, business strategies, market conditions, and portfolio performance.

Product Program Preparation and Implementation:

- Assist in the preparation and implementation of personal loan product programs, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with product managers to refine and enhance product offerings based on performance analytics and market feedback.

Asset Quality Reviews and Analytics:

- Conduct regular asset quality reviews, providing insights and recommendations based on analytical assessments.

- Identify risks and opportunities within the personal loan portfolio and suggest relevant actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Portfolio Management:

- Drive portfolio management initiatives through effective credit cycle management.

- Work closely with product managers, credit systems team, credit operations team, and collections team to ensure optimal portfolio performance and adherence to credit policies.

Credit Systems Implementation:

- Partner with the credit systems support team to implement and integrate key credit policy criteria into relevant credit acceptance and evaluation systems.

- Ensure that systems are effectively configured to support policy compliance and decision-making processes.

Risk Management and Escalation:

- Monitor and identify significant risk issues within the personal loan portfolio.

- Escalate critical risk issues to business management in a timely manner and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

- Ensure effective follow-up and resolution of escalated issues.

Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs):

- Oversee the timely completion of RCSAs, including the development and execution of action plans to address identified control gaps.

- Track and report on the progress of action plans arising from RCSAs, risk events, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), regulatory inspections, and other risk-related issues.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to personal loans.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt policies and processes as necessary to maintain compliance.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams including product managers, credit operations, collections, and credit systems.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on objectives, share insights, and drive initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in personal loan management.

- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to incorporate relevant advancements into personal loan processes and policies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

- A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e. , CFA, CPA) is a plus.

- Proven experience in credit risk management, policy development, or portfolio management, particularly in personal loans or consumer finance.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.

- In-depth knowledge of credit systems, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with credit policy implementation and system integration.

- Familiarity with risk management tools and techniques.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to risk management.
