1: Job Purpose

To communicate risk policies and processes for the organisation. To provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit, and operational risk and to assure controls are operating effectively and provide research and analytical support.

2: Duties & Responsibilities

1. Drive the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks facing service in a proactive, prioritised, and holistic manner, providing risk management support, thereby reducing risk exposure.

2. Manage the deployment of tools and techniques to ensure strong operational resilience as part of the service delivery and day-to-day implementation.

3. Lead the development and adoption of best-in-class tools to analyse risk and support delivery.

4. Demonstrate leadership in integrating best-practice from industry and leading public sector organisations and drive change through the effective influencing of internal and external stakeholders, on risk and change matters affecting the service.

5. Lead and implement GRC (Governance, Risk Management & Compliance) Model with appropriate control to drive process improvement effort

6. Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of regulatory framework documentation and controls including reconciliation and variance analysis

7. To support ad-hoc reporting and analysis for senior management.

4: Key Challenges :

- Ensuring that the risk strategy is kept up to date. Building effective links between risk management and internal teams

- Ensuring close integration between risk management, change control, and other service teams' activities and help avoid risk management acting as a standalone element within overall delivery. Manage the service risk log and ensure this is optimised in an intensive and efficient manner.
