Manager - Credit Risk and Rating | Largest Credit Rating Company
- Work for a leading credit rating company that is leveraging software and technology tools to change the face of credit rating in India!
- Our client with nearly two decades of presence has established itself as the second-largest credit rating agency in India. They provide ratings in the financial sector, infrastructure sector, corporates, public finance, and MSME spaces. The company is headquartered in Mumbai and has regional offices at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, New Delhi, Pune and Mauritius.
- Our client also carries out grading of IPOs, assesses financial strength of shipyards, grades various courses of Educational institutions and provides grading services to Energy service companies. They are nurturing global opportunities and have made forays in different forms with 4 partners from Brazil, Portugal, Malaysia and South Africa.
- As the Manager - Credit Risk and Rating, you will be monitoring credit ratings for issuers across various industries. Your analysis would cover a close observation on the portfolio of companies as well as responding to market events that could potentially lead to a change in ratings.
What you will do:
- Understanding of business model, financial statements, analyzing various risks based on quantitative and qualitative information
- Close monitoring of the performance of the companies and industries in the portfolio
- Doing plant visits and management meetings for understanding the nature of the business, the operations & risk factors associated with them
- Discussing with the key management personnel of the corporate's being rated to understand their strategy and business model
- Writing rating notes and making presentations before rating committees
- Preparing rating reports, rationale for assigned ratings
- Interacting with the clients for providing required information to carry out the rating assignment
- Conducting research on the industry in which the company is operating and keeping a track on the performance of the industry as a whole
- Analyzing business performance, including industry dynamics and regulatory trends
- Preparation of quarterly review notes based on quarterly performance and other updates
- Responsible for carrying out SWOT analysis
- Keeping track of changes in the economy, various sectors and analyzing the impact of the same on clients
- Preparation of rating rationales and press releases
- Adherence to compliance
Candidate Profile:
- CA freshers/ MBA Finance candidates from good B-school
- Additional qualification of CFA/ FRM would be an added advantage
- Demonstrable experience in Equity Research, Financial Analysis, Credit Analyst for corporate loans and experience in credit risk assessment is highly preferred
- Experience in Banks, NBFCs, Rating companies, Investment companies (Mutual funds etc) preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
