We have an urgent requirement of "Manager - CPS (Propulsion)". Candidate should be qualified in B.Tech/BE or M.Tech. Work experience with a sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles (showing an attention to detail, and being data driven). Candidate should be known.
1.Engineering change implementation
2. Leading / supporting root cause analysis in quality / field failures.
3. New product and process improvements.
4. Product management in PLM and SAP
5. To assist project management.
Role & responsibilities:
1. To deliver systems/components design / development from concept to delivery from specification, through analysis, testing and development, to engineering sign-off.
2. Create system and component specifications and design (cascaded from product engineering / programme targets) using the relevant analysis tools to support data driven design decisions.
3. Experienced on engine components design like crankshaft; Piston, ring pack, pin, clips, connecting rod, small and big end bearings, crank, main bearings, thrust washers, crankshaft damper; bushings, chains, belts, tensioners, guides for off Highway Engine using UG NX.
4. Experience on Team Centre is preferred
5. Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents
6. Knows, follows and uses the design standard documents, DFMEA, PPAP, DVP, Control Plan & GD&T
7. Co-ordinate DVP tests/analyse.
8. Resolve engineering issues using recognised methodologies.
9. Coordination with other functional areas, such as programme teams, purchasing, quality, plant operation team/ other development teams.
10. Work in a simultaneous engineering environment to support the development plan, ensuring design for manufacture and assembly.
11. Good communication skill having ability to provide clear communication and support to all customers, engineering teams and suppliers.
12. Work with suppliers to deliver prototypes and PPAP parts to schedule, meeting quality and performance requirements
13. Communicate lessons learned, propose design guide/process updates.
14. Manage suppliers via APQP process
15. Worked in the area of Diesel Engine Design preferably Off highway machines.
Required
1. Have a sound grasp of the engine product development cycle and expertise in engine system and component specification, design, development and sign-off (using relevant tools)
2. Ideally, have experience with an engine manufacturer or Tier 1 supplier in current product Engineering.
3. Demonstrate project and supplier management skills and good commercial awareness
4. Show flexibility - the role requires travel to customer and supplier sites as and when required.
