Deputy Manager - Accounts & Finance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Manager - Accounts & Finance to oversee financial and accounting operations for our Leaf Division.

The ideal candidate will be a CA and bring 5-7 years of experience in accounts and finance, preferably in the FMCG sector, and possess strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, compliance, and customer payment liaison.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic Accounts & Finance professional to join our team, someone who can manage end-to-end financial operations and contribute towards strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in financial reporting, inventory controls, statutory compliance, and vendor/customer coordination, preferably within the FMCG space.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting & Analysis

o Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

o Analyze variances, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights for management.

- Inventory & Cost Monitoring

o Ensure proper accounting and valuation of inventory across locations.

o Coordinate with supply chain and commercial teams to monitor inventory health.

o Track and report on margins, pricing deviations, and SKU-wise profitability (without handling cost sheets directly).

- Receivables & Payables Management

o Liaise with customers for payment follow-ups and timely collections.

o Monitor vendor payments and ensure compliance with credit terms.

- Compliance & Controls

o Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

o Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and legal teams for audits and assessments.

- Cross-Functional Coordination

o Partner with internal stakeholders like Sales, Procurement, and SCM to ensure financial discipline across the board.

o Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate and timely data.
