OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
- Responsible for the public relations initiatives within a company. Creates, manages, and implements PR campaigns with the goal of enriching a company's position within the public eye.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
- Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting company and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
- Develop fresh story ideas.
- Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
- Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation.
- Promote products and services through public relations initiatives.
- Research media coverage and industry trends.
- Conduct extensive media outreach.
- Prepare agendas and conduct research
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Essential:
- Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
- Proficiency in English
- A creative yet practical mind
- Experience in project management and execution of PR campaigns and/or initiatives
Qualification
- 6-7 yrs PR experience in agencies, for various brands / sectors / products
- Graduate and then PR qualified preferred from XIC (Xavier institute of communication), SIMC, MICA or IIMC
