Job Overview

- The function of the corporate legal team is to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts and other documents in relation to all businesses of the company and its affiliates and manage non-recovery strategic litigations. The legal team is responsible to manage all legal risks associated with the various businesses and advice on mitigating such risks while finding structured legal solutions to do business in an efficient manner within the parameters of applicable law. The candidate will have to carry out all such matters assigned by the reporting manager from time to time.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Business Requirement:

- Drafting, negotiating and finalizing various service agreements, risk and revenue sharing arrangements, shared services agreements, NDAs, marketing agreements, IT and technology contracts, LOIs and documents for various business functions;

- Preparing authority letters, power of attorneys, legal notice replies, managing strategic litigations;

- Standardizing, drafting, negotiating and finalizing product documents and legal advisory for various businesses;

- Drafting, negotiating and finalizing various loan and security documents for all businesses including retail and wholesale banking products;

- Co-ordinate with external lawyers on various mandates;

- Preparing and documenting various legal policies and process notes and implementing the same;

- Identifying existing legal risk framework within the organization and suggesting mitigants;

- Updating the stamp duty grid for all products on a Pan India basis;

- Responding to legal notices and escalations issued by customers or external agencies.

- General corporate advisory.

Ancillary:

- Conduct knowledge management sessions for the various businesses and the legal team;

- MIS management and managing audits;

- Strengthening and streamlining processes;

- Ensure adherence to culture with focus on Integrity, Discipline, Teamwork (no silos);

Experience Required (In Years) 5 to 10 years of experience

Minimum Qualification Required : LLB
