With an assets under management (AUM) of approximately Rs 4,000 crores, the NBFC operates over 170 branches across 11 states and employs around 2,000 people. It primarily serves the MSME sector by offering both secured and unsecured business loans, as well as loans for used vehicles.

Job Description:

- As a specialized lead legal for NBFC business, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and advice to NBFC business units. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

- Contract Review and Negotiation: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including business transaction agreements, co-lending agreements, loan agreements, digital sourcing agreements, master service agreements, escrow agreements, vendor agreements, legal communication/notices & correspondence, and other related contracts.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to NBFC businesses.

- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with the businesses.

- Transaction Support: Providing in-house legal support for transactions handled by the Group.


- These will include transactions as a 'principal' - JVs, court schemes, SPAs, etc.

- Policy Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to various business activities.

- Data Protection and IT-related laws: Provide guidance on DPDA-related matters including policy drafting and its implementation and tracking of its amendments.

- IPR: Ensuring the compliance of IPR laws and providing guidance on related matters.

- Dispute Resolution: Handling legal disputes and litigation matters Proactively interacting with law firms, and counsels, and providing strategic guidance on legal matters.

- Collaboration: Working closely with internal stakeholders, including business units, compliance teams, and senior management, to address legal issues and achieve business objectives.
