An overview of this role:

This Business Development Manager (BDM) role sits within the Marketing function of the firm. The role will provide support in strategic business development and marketing activity and day-to-day operations. The role holder will work in close cooperation with Business development teams, Digital Marketing team, our knowledge team, and Partners.

What you'll do?

Research & Strategic Insights:

- Prepare comprehensive research reports and profile legal/ financial entities/ individuals via secondary research, for business development, events, and other key partner collaboration initiatives

- Perform competitor and peer SWOT analysis for the domestic and international markets to leverage relationships and enter different geographies/preparing country decks for key targeted jurisdictions

- Prepare thematic briefs/dossiers on important Indian policy updates/issues through analysis of current state of affairs and macro-economic indicators affecting the Indian economy

- Well versed with industry databases such as Mergermarket, Debtwire, Chambers and Partners, Venture Intelligence, India Business Law Journal, and others, to identify potential opportunities in India and globally

Submissions:

- Manage Deal Reporting and assist with Submissions to various prestigious legal directories, law firm league tables and submissions for legal awards

- Liaise with Partners and their teams for all information pertaining to the submissions; Ensure presentation of submission in a structured form

- Coordinate directory submissions, credentials and marketing collateral production

- Work closely with the digital team to help enhance firm's presence on digital platforms by structured storytelling around key deals and practice areas

Proposal & Bids:

- Produce bespoke bids, pitches, and other client development presentations/ content (formal and informal)

- Support client development plans and activities.

- Work closely with other marketing and business development team members, for example, the client relationship, strategic bids, events, design and digital teams

Drive Operational Efficiencies:

- Establish and monitor processes for Practice Area development

- Augment Referral tracking and Alumni database systems for the Firm

- Work on enhancing deal reporting process , easing the updating of firm experience statements, partner profiles and indicative client lists, leading to impactful business growth and opportunities

What you'll bring?

- Experience in marketing and business development is essential

- Experience of working in a legal/professional services/partnership environment is desirable

- A genuine interest in the multiple Industry sectors

- Confident and willing to take on additional responsibility as required

- Highly organised with a professional, confident, collaborative and proactive approach to their role

- Ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks and stakeholders

- Experienced in managing and writing Proposals/ Reports/ Long-form documents
