Overall purpose of the Job :
- Enable customer insight based decision making for the business functions and oversee the market research led requirements of the organization.
Key Task & Activities :
Thought leader on Consumer insights :
- Be the custodian of all consumer insights and trends on the assigned areas of research
- Understand macro trends across the financial sector thus giving insights for development of new marketing / product concepts
- Understand the key factors impacting the Industry & various players
Consumer Insights Planning and Strategy :
- Identify and sensitize need for consumer insights and research in the organization, driving the culture of decision making based on customer insight/feedback and Enhance effectiveness of strategic initiatives using consumer feedback at relevant junctures
- Add value to the organization and internal teams' decision making by delivering quality, timely (adhoc) quantitative & qualitative studies as per internal teams' requirements
- Plan and implement research calendar and budgets in line with organizational objectives
Manage deliver of Continuous (ongoing studies) & Adhoc studies :
- Ensure quality & timely completion of all assigned studies, ongoing and ad hoc (Customer Pulse, Ad tests, concept checks, other ad hoc Qualitative/ Quantitative studies for Brand, Operations, Distribution & Product teams)
- Effectively manage the deliverables and drive actionability of the studies
- Continuously improve the quality of studies - through process or methodology improvements
Managing the Research agencies and other consultancies :
- Identify suitable agencies based on research requirements
- Sensitize agencies on intricacies and challenges of the sector and company
- Help the agency in understanding objectives from the research and if necessary take steps to educate the researchers to ensure top quality of output
- Monitor TATs & quality for the research activity
- Work with the Research Agency in arriving at quality outputs (Toplines / presentations) in line with the research brief
- Do efficient Vendor management (ensure best value for money for the organization by creating an understanding of category requirements, challenges faced by us, for a better solution to be derived)
Managing process, compliance & audit requirements :
- Ensure all other external and internal research related processes are in line with guidelines / processes
- Publish a research calendar, budget management, support audits & compliance measures
Team management :
- Build training & development calendar for self, hand hold individuals / teams on studies
- Attend adequate training programs
