Position - Construction Manager

This will be people management role and will have direct reportes
I. POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for overall management and administration of the Construction Department.
- Responsible for Integration of Global Construction Work Process into the region.
- Responsible for Interface between Project Execution and Global Construction.
- Responsible for Execution of Multiple Construction Projects across India.
- Provide Leadership to the Construction Team.
- Participate and Contribute in various proposals and cost estimation team
- Engage and co-ordinate with regional execution teams.
- Implement AP Safety and Quality Standards on Construction site.
- Manage Professional Relations with all Stake Holders.
- Set Construction KPI's and address Risks and Mitigation Plan.
II. DIMENSIONS:
- Should be able to lead the Construction team and drive results.
- Should be able to manage Complex projects in EPC environment.
- Prepare Construction Execution Plan and Resource Requirements.
- Monitor & Control the Construction Progress.
- Conducts weekly / monthly review meetings with Team / Contractors / Clients.
- Manage Interface with multiple stakeholder Internal / External.
- Manage and direct CM staff to monitor and control different Contractors.
- Should have good Construction management and execution knowledge.
- Should have good experience of Construction or Project management Skill.
- Attract talent, retain, and assigned experience CM to execute the projects.
III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- This position is accountable for the following end results:
- He should provide the Leadership to the Construction department.
- He should be able to prepare the strategies in line with organization priorities and vision.
- He should ensure the best practices and lesson learned are implemented on projects.
- He should implement construction work processes including CRR / AWP on projects.
- He will be responsible for Budget and Schedule performance of projects.
- Should Lead the team and set target for achievement.
- Responsible for Safety & Quality Performance on Construction Site
- Should be able to prepare Construction execution plan.
- Should be able to develop Contracting strategy, staffing plan and organization plan for project.
- Should be able to prepare construction Strategies for projects like Constructability sequence / staffing plan contracting strategies etc.
- Should perform Contractor pre-qualification and Selection Process.
- Should work closely with sub-contracting team during techno-commercial discussions / negotiations.
- Work closely with Estimation team during proposal phase as well Execution phase to define scope of work / RFQ preparation and defining scope matrix.
- Participate in Management review with Clients and Senior Leadership team.
- Should be able monitor the Chargeability and GRP updates.
- Should work closely with HR for performance review / talent development of team.
- Providing exposure / guidance to team with Global best practices.
- Should approve Leave / time sheet / expenses report of CM staff.
IV. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from reputed Institute
- Minimum 18-25 years of Experience in Construction management with minimum 10 years as department head role.
- Prior Experience of multinational EPC organization will be preferred.
- Experience of handling multiple project portfolio in Refinery, Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience of managing large and diverse team across regions.
