- We are looking for a seasoned Compliance and Legal Manager with a strong background in labor law, compliance, and general legal counsel responsibilities.


- This role will involve handling both internal and external compliance matters, providing legal guidance on corporate issues, and leading the organization's legal strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

- Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations across India.

- Lead compliance audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.

- Develop and maintain internal compliance policies to align with regulatory requirements.

- Manage labor law compliance documentation and records.

General Counsel Duties:

- Act as the primary legal advisor to the company, offering strategic guidance on legal matters, including risk management, contract negotiations, intellectual property, and corporate governance.

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including employment agreements, vendor contracts, partnerships, and more.

- Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.

- Provide legal insights on data privacy, cybersecurity, and business expansions, ensuring the company complies with evolving laws and regulations.

Legal Advisory:

- Provide specialized legal advice on labor and employment matters, such as workforce policies, terminations, compensation, and employee relations.

- Manage disputes and litigations, ensuring appropriate legal strategies are in place.

- Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities when necessary.

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a compliance and legal team, ensuring they are aligned with the company's goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal and compliance measures are effectively implemented across operations.

Audits and Investigations:

- Conduct internal compliance audits and investigations.

- Lead external audits and represent the company in discussions with auditors and regulators.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with government bodies, industry associations, and regulatory authorities to stay updated on legal and compliance trends.

Qualifications:

- 6-8 years of experience in labor law, legal compliance, general counsel responsibilities, and audits.

- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, corporate law, and compliance regulations.

- Proven experience in handling a range of legal matters, including contracts, employment disputes, and compliance audits.

- Ability to manage legal risks and provide strategic guidance on business and corporate legal matters.
