Responsibility:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the Shop and Establishment Act, ensuring proper licensing and adherence to working hours, holidays, and other statutory requirements for all company locations.
- Oversee compliance with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act (MSMED) 2006, supporting and facilitating the registration process for MSMEs, as well as monitoring relevant government schemes.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining Data Protection policies and procedures in accordance with applicable data protection laws, ensuring the security and privacy of customer and employee information.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Laws by monitoring and managing the company & environmental impact, handling necessary permits, and developing environmentally sustainable practices.
- Oversee compliance with Labour and Employment Laws, including but not limited to, employment contracts, wages, benefits, working hours, and other related compliance.
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act 2013.
- Implement and manage the compliance for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policy,.
- Oversee compliance with Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) regulations.
- Monitor compliance with Legal Metrology regulations, ensuring proper labeling and packaging of products, and maintaining accurate weights and measures.
- Oversee compliance with Consumer Protection Laws, handling consumer complaints, ensuring product safety, and managing warranty and refund processes.
- Manage compliance with Industrial Laws specific to the Automotive sector, including safety standards, factory regulations, and labor welfare measures.
- Thorough understanding of the relevant laws and regulations, including the Shop and Establishment Act, MSMED 2006, Data Protection, Environmental Laws, Labour and Employment Laws, Companies Act 2013, POSH, FEMA and FTP, Legal Metrology, Consumer Protection Law, and Industrial Laws (Automotive).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of laws. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities.
- Ability to conduct compliance audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Proactive approach to staying updated with changing laws and regulations relevant to the industry.
