Manager - Communications for Telenor (AP & Telangana) (3-5 yrs)

Position Summary :
Providing communications strategy, planning and executing activities to influence internal and external stakeholders and support circle strategy and business targets. Identifying & leveraging communications opportunities proactively across stakeholder groups in order to build and manage Telenor's brand position, and drive business measurable effects
Key Accountabilities/ Key Responsibilities :
Internal Communications (50%) :
- Develop & deliver proactive internal communications strategy & activities to support the overall objectives for the circle (HQ and zones) & business needs
- Working closely with the circle Business head & management team to develop communications messages & how to deliver them, to support business needs
- Drive leadership & employee engagement
- Plan & support the delivery of key employee engagement programs and events (i.e. market storming, family days, employee days, Inspire club activities)
- Leverage CBH's travel to zones in order to support stakeholder engagement (employees, channel, partners etc)
- Ensure regular face-to-face interactions between management and key internal stakeholders for the circle (HQ and zones) & provide communications content & direction to support
- Overall responsibility for circle content on electronic channels in line with Uninor's communication policy & common targets: including development of local content for the Uninor portal and other electronic channels such as circle blog and newsletter
- Implementing pan-India initiatives to support overall Communications objectives for Uninor
- Engagement with CO team through sharing activity updates, prepare and share fortnightly plans on WOW and regular editorial planning
External Communications (50%) :
- Proactive media
- Product PR: Announcing new products & product promotion PR using ongoing BTL/ATL promotions to gain media coverage
- Leveraging CBH's travel to Telenor zones/key markets to ensure media coverage with focus on product and local marketing initiatives organize media interactions to support this
- Writing and disseminating press releases / statements / Byline articles on significant circle level or national level announcements
- Organize press conferences on large/important announcements
- Securing media visibility around major events on stores openings, CBH/ leadership visits to zones & important milestones
Reactive media : responding to media queries for information, setting up media interviews on requests and directing media queries to CO on matters that only CO handles
Crisis management :
- Engagement with CO through sharing activity updates, prepare and share monthly PR plans on WOW and progress/attainment on activity KPIs
- Agency management: SPOC for the PR agency, brief agency on marketing plan for the month, PR plan development, monitor and review implementation
- Ensure regular circle messaging on all digital and social platform, ideate and conceptualize campaigns to get good visibility on new age media
