Main Role: (Overall accountability)

Manage commodity and currency transactions of Treasury, ensure adequate control and timely settlement.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Overall responsibility of commodities operations relating to back office.

- Processing and handling currency transaction (FX & MM)

- Swift verification confirmation, Brokerage charges and settlement for commodity and currency trades.

- Processing and settlement of commodity Derivatives such as option, SWAPs

- Overall responsibility for developing the back office for the commodity & precious metals.

- Responsible for accounting, valuation and reporting relating to commodities and currency operations.

- Ensuring efficient handling of physical metal movements, ensuring compliance of requisite collateral.

- Monitoring utilization of various credit limits, reviewing of exception reports, issuing margin calls, ensuring that calls are topped up within grace period.

- Ensuring enquiries regarding shipment status are appropriately handled and stock records are updated in a timely and correct manner.

- Customer services such as daily deal confirmations, statements, handling customer queries, advising customer balances, account status etc.

- Ensuring that stock transfers are properly documented.

- Reconciliation and balancing of related general ledger and sub-ledgers relating to commodities and currency operations.

- Handle functional requirements of related IT system

- Checking daily the Reuters control copy

- Rate and Revaluation uploading and Forex / Ozs. Limit update

- Day to day operational activities relating to commodities and currency operations

Personnel Specifications:

- Professional qualifications in Finance/ Accounts / equivalent

- Should have experience of 3+ years in Treasury Back Office Operations preferably handling commodity and Precious metals.

- Sound knowledge of Treasury functions and products

- Knowledge in derivatives operation would be an added advantage Expertise in using MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.

- Should be well conversant with software related to precious metals.

- Good communication and presentation skills.
