Collections Manager
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Collections Strategy:- Develop and implement effective collection strategies for unsecured loans and LAP portfolios.
- Monitor and analyze collection trends, adjusting strategies to optimize recovery rates.
Team Management:- Lead, train, and mentor a team of collection agents and executives, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Set performance goals and regularly review the performance of the collection team.
Portfolio Management:- Manage and oversee the collection activities for the unsecured and LAP portfolios in South India.
- Ensure timely and effective collection of overdue payments, minimizing delinquency rates.
Customer Interaction:- Handle escalated cases and interact directly with customers to negotiate repayment terms.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach while ensuring the company's financial interests are protected.
Compliance:- Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including RBI guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all collections efforts and communications.
Reporting:- Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, including recovery rates, delinquency trends, and team performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
Regional Focus:- Focus on collections in Karnataka and other South Indian states, leveraging local knowledge and language skills.
- Engage with local stakeholders and customers, ensuring effective communication in Kannada.
Key skills and Experience:- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in collections, with a focus on unsecured loans and LAP.
- Fluency in Kannada is mandatory; proficiency in other South Indian languages is a plus.
- Prior experience working in South India, with a strong understanding of the local culture and market dynamics.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in collections.
