Roles and responsibilities :
As a senior member of the team your responsibilities will include :
- Leading engagements involving climate change strategy, action planning, modeling, and setting of science-based targets
- Provide practical and feasible adaptation and resilience solutions and strategies
- Performance of scenario analysis as per the TCFD across a range of sectors
- Support life cycle assessments (LCA) for carbon intensity of products across their value chain
- Delivering Science Based Targets workstreams, from carbon footprint baseline year calculations to carbon reduction forecasting / pathways and submission to the SBTi
- Support the expansion of our climate risk and decarbonization strategy service offerings and providing subject matter expertise for go-to market efforts and client pitches
- Lead practice efforts on proposal development, focusing on structuring client value proposition, key differentiators, and win themes related to the team's capabilities and market opportunities
- Manage all aspects of project delivery - working in individual capacity and/or manage a multidisciplinary team operating across a range of industries to assist companies to better understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with climate change
- Identify sector specific issues and trends, and clearly structure deliverables to articulate findings and formulate client advice
- Lead client relationships and act as key client contact on engagements
- Leading a team of consultants to determine the strategic direction of client projects and guiding project execution, ensuring exceptional delivery quality while mentoring junior members of the team
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in climate science, energy management, environmental science or engineering, or related fields from an accredited college/university
- Deep expertise in climate related regulation and standards, climate risks and opportunity assessments, carbon accounting, financed emissions, net zero strategy, energy transition, and circular economy
- A strong understanding of GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CDP, SBTi, GRI, SASB and TCFD
- Minimum of five years' work experience into climate advisory, business consulting, industry, government, or related fields
- Strong problem solving, business diagnostic, and analytical skills with an ability to undertake technical and operational feasibility, engineering studies and evaluate economical, market, technical, operational, and other impacts of climate related issues on businesses
- Experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project
- Intermediate skills in MS Office; advanced skills preferred
- Working knowledge of one or more widely used climate products and solutions (preferred)
