Manager - Climate Change & Carbon - Consulting Firm

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement climate change and carbon management/decarbonization strategies for clients across various industries.

2. Conduct comprehensive carbon footprint assessments to measure and analyze greenhouse gas emissions from client operations.

3. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize emission reduction opportunities.

4. Assist clients in setting realistic emissions reduction targets aligned with SBTi, identify and develop appropriate emissions reduction pathways, and track progress towards meeting those targets.

5. Advise clients on the selection and implementation of carbon reduction initiatives, such as energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy adoption, supply chain optimization, and operational changes and offset programs.

6. Supporting organizations in implementing TCFD recommendations, assessing climate-related risks and opportunities, and preparing high-quality disclosures to enhance transparency and enable informed decision-making by stakeholders.

7. Assist clients in conducting comprehensive climate risk assessments to identify and evaluate climate-related risks and opportunities across their operations, value chain, and financial performance. This involves analyzing physical risks (e.g., extreme weather events) and transition risks (e.g., policy changes, technology shifts) and their potential financial impacts.

8. Guide organizations in conducting scenario analysis to assess the potential financial implications of different climate-related scenarios and assist in modeling the impacts of various climate scenarios on financial performance, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.

9. Support clients in collecting and analyzing relevant data related to climate risks, opportunities, and financial impacts. This includes working with various internal departments to gather information on emissions, energy usage, supply chain risks, and other relevant metrics.

10. Prepare and deliver training sessions, workshops, and presentations to educate clients on climate-related risks and opportunities, climate change mitigation strategies, best practices, data collection methodologies, and the importance of carbon management.

11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate change considerations into overall ESG frameworks and initiatives.

12. Provide thought leadership by staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in climate change and carbon management.
