Job Description: The Manager - Compliance & Governance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of compliance activities for our esteemed clients.

This position involves overseeing day-to-day operations in collaboration with the line manager, encompassing the following responsibilities:

- Managing and supervising comprehensive compliance activities across various client projects.

- Conducting thorough risk assessments, periodic reviews, and implementing effective monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Providing strategic guidance, expert advice, and proactive support to clients on compliance matters, fostering strong client relationships.

- Demonstrating proficiency in statutory payroll and establishment compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Drafting and preparing legal documents such as notices, complaints, and responses, adhering strictly to legal guidelines and timelines.

- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with external advocates/associates and government departments to facilitate compliance processes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes:

- Proven ability to manage and navigate complex client relationships and challenging situations with tact and professionalism.

- Prior experience in team management, with demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and guide team members effectively.

- In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance regulations, including but not limited to labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate governance practices.

- Expertise in payroll compliance processes, including calculations, deductions, and statutory filings.

- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all compliance activities are completed accurately and on time.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence, with a clear and concise writing style.

- This role requires a proactive and results-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

- The ideal candidate should possess the capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, drive compliance initiatives forward, and contribute to the overall success of our clients' operations through effective compliance management.
