Job Title: Channel Distribution Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing

Industry: Cosmetics (or) FMCG

Reports to: Director of Sales

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Salary:- 15LPA to 25LPA (Depends on interview discussion)

Job Summary:

- The Channel Distribution Manager is responsible for developing and managing the company's distribution network, focusing on optimizing supply chain efficiency, increasing sales through channel partners, and ensuring product availability in target markets.


- The role involves managing relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, as well as implementing strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement channel distribution strategies to maximize market penetration and ensure efficient product delivery.

- Identify and onboard new distributors and channel partners in target regions.

- Define pricing and discount policies for distributors to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Channel Partner Management:

- Manage relationships with channel partners, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

- Monitor and ensure channel partners meet sales and operational performance targets.

- Provide training, support, and resources to channel partners to maximize their sales potential.

Sales & Market Growth:

- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align channel strategies with broader business objectives.

- Identify growth opportunities and create plans to increase market share and revenue through channel partners.

- Track and report on sales performance, distribution reach, and market trends.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

- Work with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained at distribution centers.

- Forecast demand, manage product availability, and ensure timely delivery to channel partners.

- Resolve distribution challenges to ensure seamless operations and minimize stockouts or overstocks.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

- Regularly analyze sales data, market trends, and channel partner performance.

- Prepare and present reports on distribution metrics, sales growth, and channel health to senior management.

Key Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in channel distribution, sales, or supply chain management.

- Proven experience managing and growing relationships with distributors and channel partners.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of distribution networks, supply chain operations, and market trends.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market analytics.

- Proficiency in using ERP systems, CRM tools, and sales forecasting software.

Other Requirements:

- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with channel partners and attend industry events.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving distribution challenges.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Sales revenue growth through channel partners

- Increase in market share in target regions

- Inventory turnover and product availability rate

- Channel partner satisfaction and retention rate

- Reduction in stockouts and distribution delays.
