Job Summary:
- The Category Marketing manager is responsible for developing marketing strategies for the natural diamond category. The manager will work across the marketing funnel, from awareness, consideration and conversion. This will involve identifying consumer insights, creating a positioning and campaign for the category. This is a well-rounded purely marketing role which will include creating campaigns for all media (traditional and digital). This will also include planning and managing financial budgets for all marketing activities, analysing response to campaigns, forecasting trends and ensuring category presence to the fuel industry. The manager will also be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve marketing targets.
- The primary objective of the category marketing manager will be to entrench natural diamonds into contemporary culture resulting in growth of natural diamond consumption across the country.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategy:
- Creating and implementing marketing strategies to gain build consumption of natural diamonds.
- Researching, analysing and forecasting trends to understand markets and consumers.
- Establishing, positioning and building value for natural diamonds.
- Regularly monitoring the position of natural diamonds and recognizing opportunities of introducing them in to consumption culture.
- Build creative strategies to build desire and demand for natural diamonds through creation of culturally relevant marketing programs.
2. Budget Planning and Analysis:
- Developing and planning optimum budgets to ensure smooth implementation for various promotional and campaign activities whether through online or traditional marketing channels.
- Allocating sufficient funds to various marketing activities throughout the financial year.
- Mitigating budget risks and co-ordinating with financial teams to ensure sufficient budget is available in case of variances, if any.
- Ensuring KPIS and ROI is tracked for the spends and results documented and tracked.
3. Collaboration:
- Liaise with the central team in the London office and external agencies to build content and culture for natural diamonds in the Indian market.
- Collaborate with government agencies, external retailers to build and spread awareness about the natural diamond market.
- Collaborate with digital agencies, media and production houses to establish and promote awareness about natural diamond jewellery.
4. Marketing Operations:
- Design a marketing calendar for the financial year and ensure all marketing activities and goals are accomplished within the defined deadlines.
- Design and build procedures and protocols for all marketing activities and initiatives.
- Handle creation and publication of all digital marketing collaterals and traditional marketing materials.
- Design and oversee social media marketing.
- Design content which will attract the target audience into exploring the category.
5. Marketing Events and Outreach:
- Attend networking events and industry conferences to understand market trends and expand professional networks.
- Engage in category conferences, webinars and other events to learn and discuss innovative strategies to stay relevant in the market.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare SOP's and process documentation for all marketing operations.
- Monitor and document performance and ROI of all marketing activities.
- Report progress updates of all marketing activities to senior management.
- Ensure regular communication and feedback between teams while monitoring all marketing activities.

- Liaison skills to effectively coordinate between all internal and external stakeholders/ agencies.
- Strong communication skills for listening, speaking, writing, and presenting clearly and effectively with internal and external agencies.
- Ability to build professional networks with retailers and agencies.
- Strong collaboration skills for working well with others.
- Problem-solving skills are important for identifying, analysing, and solving all marketing related issues and challenges creatively and logically.

- Organisation, prioritisation and time management skills for optimising business objectives ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA in Marketing preferred.
- Should have 8-10 years of experience in brand marketing and management, experience with digital marketing is preferable. Premium and Luxury experience preferable.
- Experience in category marketing preferred- Ecommerce background necessary.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Hindi and Regional language added advantage.
Travel Requirements:
- The candidate should be comfortable with travel as this position requires domestic travel.
