Manager, Category Management - Private Lables (Apparels)  Amazon has been successfully building a large and growing marketplace in India focused on meeting Indian consumers- needs nationally. Amazon would like to build on this by developing and selling its own brands of Private Label softline products. The Amazon India team is looking for an entrepreneurial, dynamic & self-directed Product Marketing Manager to launch new products and post launch, with digital and offline marketing support while managing the private label portfolio. They should also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity and should have the ability to manage projects across cross functional teams independently. A past experience in new product development or innovation would be a positive, though not necessary.  Primary responsibilities include:  - Developing a thorough understanding of the market segment, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitoring competitor efforts  - Completing a market segment study to identify which product categories and at what price points should be part of Amazon's private label softlines program  - Working to develop new products based on Amazon data, market trends and customer needs analysis and the brands with brand positioning to ensure their success  - Owning and managing a portfolio of private label products and while driving pricing, in-stock, demand generation and a top notch customer experience  - Collaborating with and influencing a number of internal and external stakeholders like: design, sourcing, marketing, legal, tax, product compliance, supply chain,, sellers and global private label teams  - Designing and implementing new processes to help scale our business  Basic Qualifications  - MBA in Marketing, Strategy or a related field  - 8+ years of relevant work experience in product development, marketing, brand management, sales management or related fields  - Experience using metrics to drive business decisions  - Proficient in Excel and experience with other data analysis tools (SQL)  Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer  - Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail  Preferred Qualifications  - Experienced developing fashion products and/or building out a new fashion brand in a retail environment  - Experience launching packaged products and/or building out a new brand in a retail environment  - Comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute initiatives, perform quantitative analysis and reach sound conclusions  - Skilled in managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills  - Strong P&L management; specifically, cost structure and ability to create proposals focusing on holistic margin
