JD:
- As a Manager - Business Taxation, you will be responsible for leading a team of chartered accountants and managing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, individuals, and partnership firms.
- You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive tax solutions, including tax planning, advisory, and compliance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of qualified chartered accountants, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Client Management: Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, individuals, and partnership firms, ensuring their tax needs are met.
- Tax Planning and Risk Management: Lead and coordinate tax planning and risk management assignments, working closely with the Partner.
This involves:
- Providing consultation on inbound and outbound investments.
- Addressing permanent establishment issues.
- Offering withholding tax advice.
- Reviewing key corporate tax returns and vetting tax positions.
- Overseeing litigation matters and responding to notices from the Tax Department.
- Ensuring compliance with business tax requirements.
- Process Improvement: Lead the review and modification of key tax processes and systems to identify opportunities for streamlining and efficiency.
- Client Relationships: Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new opportunities for service and cross-selling.
- Business Development: Actively work with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals.
- Client Meetings: Initiate and participate in client meetings to discuss tax strategies and address their needs.
- Team Development: Supervise, train, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Project Management: Ensure projects are completed efficiently within the budgeted time and cost.
- Practice Management: Support practice management initiatives and contribute to financial metrics.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant: Qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in business taxation.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of tax professionals.
- Tax Expertise: Deep understanding of corporate tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Tax Planning: Strong experience in tax planning, including inbound and outbound investments, permanent establishment issues, and withholding tax.
- Litigation: Familiarity with tax litigation procedures and experience in handling tax disputes.
- Client Management: Excellent client management skills, including relationship building and communication.
- Business Development: Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals.
- Process Improvement: Experience in process improvement and optimization.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
