Business Strategy Manager - Marketplace
Reliance Retail is in search of a dynamic and passionate performers for Business Planning role to join our Marketplace team and help us continue our tradition of unparalleled customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Co-Ownership of P&L metrics for a business unit
- Own mid to long term planning, selection, pricing and in stock directions/strategies for respective categories
- Work with cross functional teams to understand business drivers and to drive strategic goals and initiatives
- Own primary planning deliverables of Daily/Monthly Revenue and Margin Planning, Merchandise & Assortment Planning, etc
- Conduct market research for business benchmarking exercises
- Create business plans, aided by data modelling and analytics in the process of business planning
- Take ownership to drive automation and proactive alerts/mechanism within respective category functions
- Ownership of BAU reporting and operations with respect to category
- Monitor regular compliance against key planning metrics like: Selection, In stock, DOH, P&L metrics, Price Comp, Operation Efficiency Metrics, Business Performance Audit metrics, etc
- Be the single source of truth on business performance and analytics
Job Mandate :
- Conduct analysis for assigned business problems by collecting data from all internal and external sources and perform analysis to get answers to business questions.
- Maturity to handle ambiguous business scenarios and arrive at logical business solutions with limited data / uncertainties
- Help in putting together business proposal based on trends etc.
- Put together excel models for business scenario analysis
- Create business plans, aided by data modelling and analytics in the process of business planning
- Strong analytical skills and data driven approach to decision making
- Comfortable in tracking key business KPIs through automated dashboards and ad-hoc data analyses
- Keeping business honest by highlighting various business areas/problems along with relevant data backing
Skills Required :
- Strong communication, team management, and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills - Proficiency and work experience in Ms-Office is must
- Working knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI and SQL is additional benefit
Education and Experience Required :
- Education ; MBA/Post Graduate from a Tier-1 B-School
- Industry Experience ; 2 to 4 years
- Experience in the similar role ; Min. 1 year with a leading eCommerce organization having a marketplace model
