- The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in driving the growth and success of Portfolio Management Services (PMS) products by developing and managing distribution channels, enhancing product visibility, and implementing innovative sales strategies.
- The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to shape product features and ensure market readiness.
- Additionally, the BDM will be responsible for addressing customer support issues and devising strategies for revenue growth and market share expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Manage Distribution Channels:
- Cultivate Strong Relationships: Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key distributors to improve market penetration of PMS products.
- Engage with distributors regularly to understand their needs and provide support.
- Revitalize Dormant Channels: Identify underperforming or inactive distribution channels.
- Develop and implement strategies to re-engage these channels, enhancing their performance and contributing to overall sales growth.
Enhance Product Visibility and Training:
- Increase Product Awareness: Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to boost the visibility of PMS products among distributors.
- Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, events, and collateral, to enhance product recognition and attractiveness.
- Conduct Training Sessions: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal Relationship Managers (RMs) and distributors.
- Ensure that training covers all aspects of PMS products, including features, benefits, and sales techniques to equip participants with the knowledge needed to effectively promote and sell the products.
Innovative Sales Strategies:
- Drive Penetration and Sales: Create and implement innovative sales strategies to increase the adoption and sales of PMS products.
- Explore new market segments and identify opportunities for expanding product reach.
- Implement Creative Solutions: Develop and test new approaches to overcome sales challenges and leverage market trends.
- Regularly review and refine sales strategies to ensure they remain effective and aligned with market demands.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution:
- Address Queries and Issues: Serve as the primary point of contact for queries and service issues related to PMS products.
- Provide timely and effective resolutions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Enhance Customer Experience: Continuously assess and improve the customer support process to enhance the overall customer experience with PMS products.
Collaboration and Product Development:
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to define and develop product features and user experiences that meet market needs.
- Ensure Market Readiness: Provide essential market insights and feedback to ensure that PMS products are developed and delivered in a manner that meets customer expectations and is ready for market launch.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies aimed at driving revenue growth and expanding market share for PMS products.
- Monitor industry trends, analyze performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial targets and growth objectives.
- Market Share Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for increasing market share in the PMS sector.
- Leverage data and insights to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the competitive position of the products.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the financial services or asset management industry.
- Strong understanding of Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and related financial products.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage distributor relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Innovative and strategic thinking with a track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
