Business Development Manager to be based in Sri Lanka with Tamil as a language is mandatory
JOB PURPOSE :
The incumbent will represent our client organization, which is a MNC into Plastics, polymers, and chemicals business. He will spearhead Sales & Business Development & execute companies' long-term strategic plans in Sri Lanka and lead sales activity of all polymer products in the assigned territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drive and create countries strategic plans for sales and take care of all business development activity, evaluate external and internal factors like market trends and economic outlook, and provide business/market intelligence to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships externally with value chain partners, marketing forums, events, exhibitions, and relevant industrial seminars on a regular basis.
- Identify new opportunities, including market development and pipelines, to achieve sales targets.
- Carry on daily operation activities, including: negotiating prices, contracts, payment terms and delivery conditions, supporting customer needs, supporting claim handling, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in either Chemical, mechanical engineering or an MBA
- Should have managed a business volume of at least 70 Crore in Sri Lankan Rupee
- Good knowledge of the polymers or plastics industry or sales experience in chemical industry
- Minimum 5 -10 years' experience in a commercial role either in a segment or regional sales or BU. Strong experience in B2B and B2C space.
- Good interpersonal skills are needed in order to build strong relationships with new stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a global matrix preferred
