The organisation has an innovation Lab where they experiment and explore, trying out new innovative technology tools and novel approaches to solving intractable problems. Their innovative work and impact has been recognized in many global international forums.
Job Summary:
The position is located in the organisation's New Delhi office and will work closely with the team in the US. The position will drive the organisations business development efforts with venture capitalists, investors, multiple donors and foundations for CSR. It will represent the organisation in external meetings and will foster strategic partnerships and effective stakeholder relationships. The position will work with the teams on designing packages for funding / investment, potential donors, and coordinate development of concept notes / proposals for them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, approach and secure mutually beneficial partnerships that take forth the organisations objectives
- Develop strategic and tactical approaches to national and international donors and investors - planning, leading and implementing new business generation meetings, reaching decision makers and drawing on senior level support when appropriate
- Work with Investors, Venture Capitalists and CSR initiatives in the public and private sector. Manage relations and develop a portfolio of partnerships.
- Design and develop a Customer Relationship management system to execute strategic relationship plans to strengthen and deepen existing relationships.
- Partner with groups in the organisation to drive and support appropriate relationships.
- Mobilize multiple stakeholders to execute on activities and projects.
- Ensure due diligence and risk analysis are completed for potential relationships
- Be accountable for timely reporting, escalation and/or resolving any compliance related issues that may come up.
Required qualification, experience and skills:
- Master's degree in business management from a reputed institution
- Minimum five years in a business, marketing, or client-facing role for example in investment banking, management consulting or a start up
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, cultivating and securing business partnerships
- Ability to effectively reach out and influence investors, venture capitalists, corporate and foundation leaders.
- Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills and a client-centred approach
- Ability to navigate challenging and ambiguous situations to achieve goals
