Business Devlopment Manager
The position is to be based in EAST AFRICA :
Our client company is a diverse conglomerate based in East Africa, is involved in manufacturing, trading, real estate, agriculture, and other technology-related strategic ventures.
Key Role Responsibilities :
Market Research and Analysis :
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and trends.
- Analyse competitive landscapes and industry developments to identify new business opportunities. Lead Generation and Follow-up.
- Generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and following up with introduced contacts and online platforms.
- Qualify and prioritize leads based on the company's target criteria.
Sales Support :
- Collaborate with the sales team to create and deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and other sales-related documents.
- Maintain records of business development activities and pipelines.
Strategic Planning :
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's business development strategy.
- Provide input on product/service enhancements based on market feedback.
Communication and Reporting :
- Communicate regularly with internal teams to share feedback.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and progress towards targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, promote offerings and establish new connections.
Required Skill-Set :
Technical :
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for identifying business opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM software, usage of Microsoft Excel, Word and PPT is a must.
